We all know that a dog is man’s best friend. They are also precious four legged fur babies that become part of our families. Whether fetching the morning paper or cheering you up after a bad day, there’s nothing our dogs wouldn’t do for us, so why not reward them with a little pampering? Oh My Dog! Boutique & Spa is just the place to take them when only the finest will do for your beloved canine. Whether you’re buying the latest organic dog treats, a collar with Swarovski crystals, a grooming treatment, or if fido just needs some training, they can do it all.
Oh My Dog (OMD) was started in 2008 by Jackie Bacha. She took her love of her toy poodle, and turned it into a store just for dogs. She now owns three poodles – one in each size. Jackie has a heart for the community as well as her dogs, and wanted to open a boutique with a local feel so that she could have a personal relationship with you and your dog. She is a Scottsdale local, and earned her degree in Business from Arizona State University.
As the name suggests, Oh My Dog offers a complete in store and online boutique just for your pooch. From beds and collars, to clothing and pet carriers, your dog can enjoy the ultimate in style and comfort. OMD supplies only the most stylish high end brands such as Susan Lanci designs, Beverly Hills dog furniture, Pinkaholic, Gems 4 Paws, Petote, and more. The boutique is located in the modern part of Old Town known as Southbridge on Stetson Drive near Scottsdale Fashion Square. It’s the perfect shopping date for you and your dog. All that shopping is bound to make them hungry. Good thing OMD also sells the most gourmet dog food and treats! Stella & Chewy’s dog food uses organic fruits and vegetables, and naturally raised meat. While the treat brands available use all natural ingredients. If you’d rather not get out in Scottsdale’s infamous heat, just browse the online boutique on their website to have everything you need delivered right to your doorstep.
Living in a bustling city like Scottsdale can begin to take a toll on anyone eventually. When it’s time to rejuvenate, relax, and get a trim, OMD can take care of that. Just like the food, all of the spa products used are completely natural and gentle to your dogs skin and fur. In addition to a regular Bath & Brush, why not try a Paw Butter massage for your dog’s tired tootsies and follow it up with a Pawdicure to keep them looking their best. A Fur Butter treatment will keep your dog’s coat looking extra shiny and healthy, while the Furminator will get rid of that hot undercoat so they can keep cool. Add-ons include procedures like de matting, hair color, and anesthesia free tooth brushing to keep that dog breath at bay. All OMD groomers and stylists are experienced and trained in their field. Any size or breed of dog can be taken care of from Chihuahuas to St. Bernards.
Once your dog is looking and feeling their best, you’ll want to capture the moment. A Dog’s Life Photography does photo sessions for the most important member of your family. Who knows? Your dog could even be selected to be the next OMD model! Be sure to give them the star treatment around town. OMD has partnered with the hip W Scottsdale Hotel to offer dog yoga, or Doga the first Tuesday of every month. Bring a mat and your best friend’s favorite treats, and get fit while stretching away the stress of the day. Doga is led by Dena Zell who is a certified yoga instructor.
If you have a new puppy you want to socialize and train, or have an older dog that has developed some bad habits, a training program is available. Stacy Larsen has been a trainer for over 19 years, and runs Puppy Prep School LLC. She is fully certified, and will teach your pup the basics and develop good habits for them that will last a lifetime. Classes run four weeks long. Stacy also makes house calls. She can correct your dog’s bad habits and have them happy in your own home. If they start to slip, follow up sessions are available, as well as Me and Your Dog sessions where you and your dog can learn lifestyle changes that will allow you to more fully enjoy your time together.
Stop by Oh My Dog! Boutique and Spa Monday through Saturday to give your dog the finer things in life. Grooming and boutique appointments are also accepted with limited hours on Sunday. Whether it’s a spa day, a new toy, or a glamorous new look, show your dog how much you love them for all the joy that they bring into your life.
