It was the 1970’s when co-founders Arnie Morton and Klaus Fritsch first met. They both worked at the Playboy Club in Montreal, but didn’t know each other. Klaus cooked a hamburger that Arnie thought was so delicious he had to know who cooked it. From that day forward, it was known as the Million Dollar Hamburger. Though Morton’s focuses more on steak now, the quality and taste is every bit as good. When only the best steak will do, try Morton’s Steakhouse Scottsdale.

Morton’s actually has over 69 restaurants across the country. The first was in Chicago, and quality, consistency, and genuine hospitality are as present today as they were over three decades ago. It’s apparent that it’s a great place to work as many of the employees are there for decades. It may have something to do with the community service that Morton’s embraces, or the fun educational aspect. If you go looking for steaks on the website, you’ll see examples of fine cuts of raw steaks, and tips for picking them out in your local supermarket. Morton’s even has it’s own cookbook, and Steak Bible. A must for anyone who loves to be in the kitchen.

The thing you’ll remember most about Morton’s is the incredible dinner you’ll have there. A few locations in the country are open for lunch, but here in Scottsdale, it’s strictly an evening affair. The dinner menu affords many choices. Appetizers range from an Ahi Tuna Tower to Tenderloin Steak Tacos, and Baked Escargot. Soups and salads are a must with choices like Lobster Bisque, Center Cut Lettuce Wedge, and the Morton’s Salad. For the best steak, try the Signature Cut Prime New York Strip, Center Cut Filet Mignon, or have enough for both you and your date with the Double Porterhouse for Two. If red meat isn’t your thing, there’s the Chicken Christopher or Chicken Bianco, and many seafood choices including Alaskan King Crab Legs, and Baked Stuffed Jumbo Shrimp. If you can’t decide between surf or turf, combine them. Nothing complements steak like a Cold Water Lobster Tail or Bacon Wrapped Scallops. Side dishes are served family style here, so decide if you’ll be sharing Grilled Jumbo Asparagus, Chicago Style Horseradish Mashed Potatoes, Bacon & Onion Macaroni & Cheese, or any one of the other mouthwatering complements. Dessert at Morton’s is the perfect way to put the cherry on top so to speak. Especially with Morton’s Legendary Sundae, Morton’s Legendary Hot Chocolate Cake, or the Souffle for Two if you’d rather share. Morton’s realizes not everyone has the same dietary needs, so if you’re so inclined, ask for the gluten or soy sensitive menu.

If you don’t have the time for a full dinner, stop in for Morton’s Happy Hour otherwise known as Power Hour. Whether you’re having a glass of wine with your meal or just as a way to wind down after work, Morton’s is the place. It’s not just a choice of red or white here. Morton’s has their own signature line of cocktails they have dubbed Mortinis. For the waistline conscious, there’s the Spa-tini collection made with fresh ingredients, and under 200 calories each! Get ready for an ultra fine beer experience with Morton’s collection of trappists, lambics, and craft beers from all over the world. Of course, feel free to ask for any drink you can dream up with the full bar at your disposal. When it’s time to perk up, try one of Morton’s Signature coffee drinks. Take a trip around the world with Irish, Italian, Spanish, and Morton’s Coffee. Just because you have a bite at the bar, doesn’t mean it has to taste like bar food. Morton’s Bar Bites have exquisite choices like Petite Filet Mignon Sandwiches, Oysters on the Half Shell, Parmesan Truffle Matchstick Fries, Mini Crab Cake BLT’s, and a host of other choices perfect to satisfy that after the office craving.

Need a more intimate setting? For holiday parties, meetings, celebrations or any other reason, Morton’s has a room to accommodate you. The four rooms can accommodate from as few as 40, or as many as 170 guests. There are also Prime Platters you can order to serve Morton’s in your home, office, or wherever, and Prime To Go when you’d rather eat out at home. Be sure to visit Morton’s website for information on upcoming events, or to purchase a gift card. Step inside to see why the website claims it’s the best steak anywhere.
